Vintage Midcentury Spotlighted Diva Singer & Jazz Pianist Mixed Media Painting

How cool is this Vintage MCM Mixed Media Painting? The subject of the painting is front and center on this painting. It features a diva, holding a mic, singing solo and a cool dude playing the tunes she’s singing to on the piano. They literally jump off the canvas. In fact, they are sculptings that the artist has painted and adhered to the center of the canvas creating a 3D effect.

The artist then painted in a heavy atmosphere around them and a sort of non-descript stage beneath them. Maybe they’re at a small club, bellowing out some mad jazz or soul. The artist cleverly paints a yellow and orange spotlight coming from the right upper corner of the canvas spraying down light and illuminating both of them. With blacks, browns, whites, yellows, oranges, and reds, this painting easily goes in any mid-century or modern setting. It’s unsigned by the artist and is a one-of-a-kind original. Take note: there are 2 small indentions in the canvas in the upper left corner (see photo 4).
