This item is from the time Ann Demeulemeester was the designer, during the Horizonte era.
The fabric is not a single layer, but two layers sewn together, giving it thickness.
It's a stole, but I think it can also be used as a pareo.
Ann's staff at the time recommended wearing it as a wrap skirt.
